Wipe-Out

Monday afternoon, Tyce was riding his bike (one of his favorite things to do this summer) and I was teaching piano lessons. Colton knocked on the door and told me Tyce had wiped out and was bleeding. I went outside and Jake Bateman had a blue shop towel and was catching a bunch of blood. Poor kid ate it hard. It was hard to tell where the blood was coming from. His nose was bleeding but it looked like his mouth was too, possibly a loose tooth or two. Unfortunately, his upper lip was swelling pretty quick and it was really hard to look in his mouth. Once we got the nose bleed stopped, we were able to see that his lip was scraped up bad (the inside bit too), his elbow and one knee were raw.

Side note: later that evening we had dinner at the Gempler's. Tyce and Mitchell were playing outside after we ate and he fell down on the cement pad and came in the house with the other knee bleeding.
